Neither here nor there...​

Focusing on personal development, identity and a renewed love of painting. This project allows me to explore my passion for drawing from life and my position within the landscape.

Thinking and articulating through the activity of making, the paintings will explore the connection between the body and the landscape in the context of materiality. 

​

The materials, a combination of found materials, acrylic paint, house paint, plaster, old upcycled canvases, vintage wallpapers, graphite and more create a visible friction and energy within the work, revealing the process the paintings undergo.

​

By only using found and donated materials, humour and considering studio climate and a lack of technical painting knowledge the works are creating their own aesthetic, all the above dictating the work and outcome".

​

​We will also be screening the beautiful film made about the artist by the wonderful Peter and Ranna from the 1968 Film Group.
